From Karachi to the USA: A Journey of Resilience and Passion

My story begins in the vibrant city of Karachi, Pakistan, where I was raised in a middle-class family. Life’s early lessons taught me resilience and the importance of forging my own path. It all started with my mother’s math tuitions for primary kids, where my fascination with numbers sparked. But it wasn’t just about numbers; it was about soccer too. Soccer wasn’t just a game for me; it was my passion, my escape, and surprisingly, a way to fund my dreams. At 15, I and my friends organized soccer tournaments, using the winnings to support my education and family. As I delved deeper into Mathematics and Economics for my bachelor’s degree, I also taught O-level students to sustain myself. Along this journey, my love for numbers intertwined with a growing interest in data analysis. This fusion of passions led me to my professional career, where I immersed myself in the world of data. After gaining valuable experience, I took a leap of faith to pursue my master’s in the USA. Here, in this land of opportunities, I am determined to combine my love for numbers, and data to make a meaningful impact.

Hobbies and Interests

Soccer has always been my first love, and I’ve been avidly watching and playing since 2006, passionately supporting Manchester United through thick and thin (mostly thin these days, but we stay hopeful!). As a self-proclaimed foodie, I explore the culinary delights of different cultures, savoring unique flavors and dishes. In addition to soccer and indulging in delicious meals, I have a deep love for travel, exploring new cultures and landscapes whenever I can. A movie enthusiast, I often find inspiration and relaxation in cinematic stories. Occasionally, I delve into the world of literature, finding solace in the pages of a good book. During my undergrad, I was the vice-captain of our soccer team, leading to victory in two tournaments. I also enjoy playing table tennis, securing the Intra Mural championship at Kettering University for the past two semesters.
